It also includes the stories of the families that remained in Norway. This book also includes the Eide and Thormodseter families of the Hardanger Fjord.
Huseby Family
The Huseby family originated on the Sogne Fjord in Norway and immigrated to America in the early 1870s. Most settled in Minnesota and later in North Dakota and elsewhere. The book also includes a Fedje and Hamre lineage.
Nelson Family
This was an update of a wonderful book about the Jenssen family by David Crankshaw. The Nelson family originated in Vest Agder in southern Norway and immigrated to America in the 1870s. Some of the family settled in New York and New Jersey, while the rest in Minnesota. The book includes the descendants of the Jenssen sisters and their long-lost brother and covers the Nelson, Johnson, Hastie, and Simonsen families.
Fedje Family
The Fedje family originated from Feidje farm at Feios on the Sogne Fjord in Norway and immigrated to America in the early 1860s. Most settled in Minnesota and later in North Dakota and elsewhere. The book also includes a Huseby and Hamre lineage.
Hastie Family
The Hastie family originated from Kristiansand, Norway but the progenitor ended up in New Zealand before coming to America and settling in Iowa. The book also includes Nelson, Johnson, and Simonson lineages.
