12-Forgiveness

    One of the most important revelations for me was forgiving others. We all want God to forgive us, but are we equally driven to forgive others?

I had just been through some devastating experiences with betrayal and persecution for my faith. I was becoming bitter toward people and God. Then the Lord sat me down and said, "If you cannot forgive these people, then I am blocked from forgiving you." That shocked me. The revelation came from Matthew 6:14-15: "For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions."
