NAC-169 Old Norse
Old Norse was a Germanic language spoken in Scandinavia during the Viking Age, petering out in the 14 th century. Wherever the Vikings settled, they took their language with them. It eventually evolved into Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and Icelandic, plus the language of the Faroe Islands. (Note: Finland is often referred to as being part of Scandinavia, but their language is totally different, evolving from the Ural Mountains area of Russia.) It is my understandi

NAC-168 Rogfast Tunnel System
I have written a few articles about tunnel engineering feats in Norway, including this one, but when I saw the rendering below, I had to share it with you. NAC-166 Organic Farming and Uffda Advice
I have always been interested in organic farming, whether as a novice grower or as a consumer. In my single-family lot in northern San Diego County, I have been able to squeeze in three varieties of avocados, a pomegranate tree, an orange tree, a fig tree, an apple tree, a Fuji persimmon, three grape vines, three blackberry bushes (which I will probably yank out for not producing), and an herb and vegetable garden. This has been the case wherever I have lived. I guess the far
