               I have always been interested in organic farming, whether as a novice grower or as a consumer. In my single-family lot in northern San Diego County, I have been able to squeeze in three varieties of avocados, a pomegranate tree, an orange tree, a fig tree, an apple tree, a Fuji persimmon, three grape vines, three blackberry bushes (which I will probably yank out for not producing), and an herb and vegetable garden. This has been the case wherever I have lived. I guess the farming gene is part of my DNA.
