Are Norwegian Americans Really Norwegian NAC-15

Recently I came across a blog written by Norwegians who were baffled, almost to the point of being insulted, that some Americans would refer to themselves as Norwegian Americans. For the most part, these Norwegian Americans do not speak Norwegian, have never been to Norway, and may not even have any relatives living in Norway with whom they correspond. In some cases, their families have lived in the United States for 100-150 years, yet they continue to proudly identify with their Norwegian roots.
