As a genealogist, or as I refer myself to, a "family historian," I am always looking to the past to find my ancestors' stories; however, we often forget that we have stories that need to be preserved. Yes, there is oral history, where we disclose stories of our family members to their prospective mates, hoping to embarrass them. Still, these stories disappear in time, leaving our descendants wondering what life was like in the "olden days." But, friends, those olden days are now for future generations.
