NAC-156 Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf

            One of my dad’s favorite aunts was Sunniva (Susie) Huseby. Never marrying, she was a devoted home economics teacher for the deaf for 32 years at the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf in Faribault, Minnesota, which was conveniently located twelve miles west of her birthplace, Nerstrand. She was born on October 15, 1875, and passed away at the age of 78. She was known for kindness.
