Norwegian Humor, Sage Advice and Other Myths NAC-135

There is a book that I highly recommend entitled “Scandinavian Humor & Other Myths” by John Louis Anderson. I have given away more copies of that book than I can remember to help non-Scandinavian spouses to understand our unique psyche. Whether it is our jokes, puns, or sage advice, I think working with them is worth the effort to appreciate who we are. Scandinavians love to laugh at themselves and whatever culture they happened to have been dropped into.

I guess every culture has its quirks. For example, I tease my mostly English American wife that English humor is so dry that you have to add a cup of water to reconstitute it to finally figure out what was so funny.
