Were Norwegian Americans Really Americans NAC-42

A couple of years ago, I questioned whether Norwegian Americans were Norwegian (Article 15). I thought it might be interesting to pose the opposite question of whether Norwegian-Americans were really Americans. This became a burning question at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Americans have asked this question of every new immigrant group, and it is still a burning question today.
