13-A Humble Place

    We often focus on Jesus’ death and resurrection and are grateful for His tremendous sacrifice to save us from our sins. And we should be grateful. But we should be equally thankful that He agreed to come to earth and live under the same restrictions of the flesh that we have to endure. Yes, He never sinned, but He was tempted in all ways as we are. (Hebrews 4:15) He faced the same limitations as we did and had to rely on the same Holy Spirit to accomplish what He was commissioned to do. He had to learn obedience through what He suffered while in the flesh, just as we do. (Hebrews 5:8) And that was not only dying on the cross.
