Burdick Family MC No. 94

 According to Burdick family historians, Burdick may have initially been Burditt. Over the centuries, surname spelling was not exact, with illiterate people and recorders phonetically spelling their names. I know my last name has been phonetically spelled a dozen different ways. So it is not surprising that we find Burdick spelled Burdict, Birdick, Berdict, Burdett, Burdette, and Burditt. Even for the first Burdick in America, we find some of those variations.
