Do Your Own Ting NAC-28

One has to be careful when using an English word because it may have a different meaning in another language. For example, during the 1960s and 1970s, a prevailing attitude among young people in America was to "do your own thing." It expressed an independent, anti-establishment attitude that challenged the very foundations of our culture. On the other hand, when I was in Norway, I discovered the Norwegian "Ting" (thing) had the opposite meaning: establishing order during ancient Viking times and today.
