Legacy of Engineering Feats NAC-39

In Norway, we were impressed with the networks of highways and bridges connecting the thousands of islands with the mainland. Upon our return, we realized that Norwegian Americans have also made a lasting imprint in the United States. One of the great civil engineers of the last century was Ole Knutsen Singstad (1882-1969) from Lensvik, Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. He graduated from the Trondheim Technical School in 1905 and emigrated to America after graduation.
