Thomas Brigham MCF-17

Thomas Brigham was born in England in about 1603. He joined a group of Puritans who were part of Pastor Thomas Shepherd’s congregation in Buttercombe, a few miles from Holme-on-Spaulding-Moor, in Yorkshire, England. For that reason, he was possibly from that region. Unfortunately, I could not find Buttercombe on the map, but Holme-on-Spaulding-Moor is between York and Hull. That village is built on a hill in the center of a marsh. During Brigham’s time, the town was known for its hemp production.
