Many rural churches in America have closed their doors as families have left their farms and moved into the cities. If the structures are not being converted to other uses, they are left to deteriorate, and a part of our history is lost forever. This could have been the fate of the church my grandparents belonged to when it was disbanded in 1973 had it not been a community effort to restore it.
