If I had not become a city planner, I would have loved to have been an architect. Unfortunately, that did not happen, so I must be satisfied to appreciate what others can envision and build. Norwegian architecture is rich with existing structures dating nearly back to the Viking days. Its earliest structures were unique from the rest of Europe due to its isolation and climatic conditions. As that isolation dissolved, it became under the influence of the areas it traded with and had often ransacked.
