Harry and Hilda Parmater MCF-53

Writer's picture: Nelson HusebyNelson Huseby

Family stories do not have to be ancient ones. Some happened in our own lifetime, and I find it essential to preserve their stories. For example, this story comes from one of my readers about an aunt and uncle who were dear to her and had no children. I had a very special aunt, Agnes, who got married late in life and had no children. Instead, she claimed all her nieces and nephews as her own. Therefore, when Nancy Niemann Palmquist asked me to preserve their story, I totally understood and agreed with her that it would be “a shame that fine people like Hilda and Harry pass into obscurity just because they didn’t have children.” Therefore, I agreed to include it in this series of family stories. I also encourage anyone else to do the same for a family member related to the Miller or Cook ancestors.
