Names, Names, and More Names NAC-66

When I was born, my father made a mistake on my birth certificate and called me Nelson Dean Huseby instead of Dean Nelson Huseby. I was supposed to carry on the family tradition since he was Elsworth Nelson Huseby, after his mother’s maiden name. To my mother’s surprise, the error was discovered when I entered kindergarten. For the next six years, I was Nelson at school and Dean at home. I ended that confusion in sixth grade, and while not official, I went by Dean. Now the only ones who call me Nelson are solicitors and friends who attempt to tease me, and to that, I simply reply, “my friends call me Dean.” They can decide what they want to be, which quickly shuts them up.
