The Huntingtons MCF-49

Just mention the surname Huntington, and one would immediately question whether the Cook family is related to the powerful Huntington family, who were billionaires due to constructing the first transcontinental railroad along with the likes of Leland Stanford, Mark Hopkins, and Charles Crocker. Well, the answer is yes. The Cook and Huntington families share the same ancestor: their 11th great-grandfather, Simon Huntington. So, when we walk the beautiful mansion and gardens of the Huntington Library in San Marino, we can now claim kinship. When they were young, our girls loved walking through the library and seeing the Thomas Gainsborough paintings of Blue Boy and Pinkie. If you have not been there, some of the grounds are probably familiar since many famous movies have been shot there, due to its proximity to Hollywood.
