The Phippen Family MCF-80

I stumbled onto the story of Uncle Owen Fitzpen and thought I would tell it to the family in the context of the Phippen/Fitzpen family. I could only take this family back to the mid-1400s, but it appears that the name evolved from the Anglo-Norman name of Fitzpain. This meant “son of pain,” which, later in this story, Uncle Owen lived up to it.
